LEGO HMS HOOD BATTLECRUISER MOC

The HMS Hood was the pride of the Royal Navy and the largest warship in the world when it was commissioned in 1920.

GET INSTRUCTIONS

Recreate a miniature version of the HMS Hood, one of the most iconic battlecruisers in British naval history, with this LEGO MOC. Known for its formidable size and power, it became a symbol of British naval might during the interwar period.

The HMS Hood gained legendary status, but it also met a tragic fate during World War II. In the famous Battle of the Denmark Strait in 1941, Hood was struck by the German battleship Bismarck and sank within minutes, taking most of her crew with her.

This model commemorates the legacy of the HMS Hood inspiring the many builds and models of ships from the long gone era.

MODEL #0044 | 107 pcs.

This model uses a combination of previously known techniques of mine including a pair of 1×4 hinge plates to detail the elevated part of the main deck housing the many secondary weapons used to defend the ship against air and sea based attacks.
