LEGO LONDON TUBE D78 STOCK TRAIN MOC
Introduced in the late 1970s, the D78 Stock served on the District line for nearly 40 years.
I created this LEGO London Tube D78 Stock Train MOC to capture the charm and legacy of one of London’s iconic trains. Its bright red, white, and blue color scheme and unique design makes it instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with the London Underground. In this model, I’ve recreated the train’s rounded roof and connected carriages in a way that stays true to the original.
The D78 Stock was a reliable workhorse for decades, carrying millions of passengers across London’s busy streets. This MOC pays tribute to a key part of the city’s public transport history, and I believe it’s a perfect addition to any LEGO city or transportation collection. Its long service life and distinctive look make this model both nostalgic and fun to build.
