LEGO SPACE SHUTTLE COLUMBIA MOC
This MOC serves as a homage to both the incredible achievements of the shuttle and the brave crew members who flew her.

This LEGO Space Shuttle Columbia MOC is a tribute to NASA’s pioneering spacecraft that led the Space Shuttle program. Columbia was the first space shuttle to fly in space, launching on April 12, 1981, and marking the beginning of a new era in space exploration with reusable spacecraft.
The LEGO model is designed to capture the distinct features of the shuttle, including its aerodynamic body, delta wings, and vertical stabilizer fin. The shuttle’s iconic black-and-white color scheme and angular design give this MOC a striking resemblance to the real Columbia.
Columbia had a historic career, completing 27 missions, including deploying satellites, conducting scientific experiments, and contributing to space station construction. Tragically, its mission ended on February 1, 2003, during re-entry when the shuttle disintegrated, leading to the loss of all seven astronauts on board.
