LEGO USS NICHOLAS DESTROYER MOC
The USS Nicholas (DD-449) was a Fletcher-class destroyer, known for its resilience and valor in numerous naval operations.
This LEGO USS Nicholas Destroyer MOC is my detailed homage to one of the most famous U.S. Navy destroyers from World War II. I’ve designed this MOC to reflect the ship’s sleek, fast form, capturing its essential features such as the stacked radar towers, smokestacks, and the sloping bow that made the destroyer so effective in battle.
The USS Nicholas served in several major Pacific Theater battles during WWII, and it continued to see action post-war during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. It became known for its distinguished service, earning numerous commendations, including 16 battle stars. With this MOC, I aimed to deliver a detailed, yet manageable build, ideal for display or incorporation into larger naval dioramas.
