The HMS Dreadnought, launched in 1906, was a British battleship that forever changed naval design. HMS Dreadnought became the blueprint for battleships worldwide and was a key player in the naval arms race leading up to World War I.
Its all-big-gun armament and steam turbine propulsion system made older battleships obsolete. This MOC recreates the powerful and rigid look of the ship, featuring its distinct gun turrets, superstructure, and bolted armored hull.

Not every LEGO model needs to have a smooth or sleek design. The riveted armoured hull in this case uses 1×8 and 1×1 plates attached to the side to imitate the effect of bolted plates on the hull.
