The HMS Repulse was a British battlecruiser commissioned during World War I, but her most notable involvement came during World War II.
Launched in 1916, HMS Repulse was part of the renowned Renown-class battlecruisers, known for their speed and firepower. During WWII, Repulse was assigned to defend the British territories in the Far East.
She met a tragic fate on December 10, 1941, when she, along with the battleship HMS Prince of Wales, was sunk by Japanese aircraft off the coast of Malaya. The loss of these ships marked a significant shift in naval warfare, as it highlighted the vulnerability of battleships to air attacks.
