LEGO IJN FUSO BATTLESHIP MOC
One of Japan’s iconic battleships from World War II.

The IJN Fuso was one of Japan’s iconic battleships from World War II, launched in 1914. It underwent several modernizations, but its design remained somewhat outdated compared to newer warships at the time. Fuso played a role in various naval engagements before meeting its fate during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in 1944, where it was sunk by Allied forces.
The ship’s distinct pagoda mast and impressive artillery made it a significant force in the Imperial Japanese Navy.
MODEL #0081 | 111 pcs.
While most navies have built long or wide ships, the Imperial Japanese Navy loved experimenting on building high towers on their ships allowing the crew to see further than most ships at the time. Of course, the idea became outdated once radar technology came out.
