LEGO AHS CENTAUR MOC
The first Australian ship model in my collection.

The AHS Centaur was an Australian hospital ship during World War II, known for its tragic sinking in 1943 by a Japanese submarine off the coast of Queensland.
Clearly marked as a hospital ship under the Geneva Conventions, the Centaur was transporting medical personnel, equipment, and wounded soldiers when it was attacked, resulting in the loss of 268 lives.
The sinking of the Centaur sparked outrage and remains a poignant chapter in Australian wartime history, serving as a reminder of the human cost of war and the importance of protecting medical personnel.
MODEL #0114 | 1:500 | 155 pcs.
Ideally you’d want to replace the red 1×1 LEGO pieces with stickers featuring the red cross which helped other ships identify the AHS Centaur from afar.
