LEGO BOEING 747 MOC
Once a giant, still a queen of the skies.

The Boeing 747, known as the “Queen of the Skies,” revolutionized air travel when it was introduced in 1970. As the first wide-body “jumbo jet,” it could carry hundreds of passengers on long-haul routes, drastically lowering the cost of air travel and making it accessible to millions. Its distinctive hump-backed upper deck originally housed a lounge for premium passengers, giving it a unique profile.
Over the years, various 747 models served diverse roles, from cargo transport to VIP and even space shuttle carrier.
The 747 held the record as the world’s largest passenger airliner until the Airbus A380 entered service in 2007.
With over 1,500 built, the 747 became a global icon of aviation, operated by airlines worldwide.
MODEL #0115 | 1:400 | 145 pcs.
Similar techniques were used on this design as the ones used on the LEGO Airbus A380 MOC. Although, in order to make the distinctive hump on the front of the plane, I had to get a bit creative.
With some double-sided SNOT bricks and modified 2×2 plate tiles placed vertically, I achieved the perfect height ratio compared to a real life Boeing 747-8 at a 1:400 scale.
| Units | Width | Length | Height |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studs | 21.4 | 23.8 | 7.4 |
| Inches | 6.7 | 7.5 | 2.3 |
| Centimeters | 17.1 | 19.0 | 5.9 |
