Remember the ship that blocked the Suez Canal back in 2021?
The Ever Given, part of Evergreen’s Golden-Class container ships, made global headlines in March 2021 when it famously became lodged in the Suez Canal, blocking one of the world’s most critical trade routes for nearly a week.
The vessel, measuring over 1,300 feet in length and capable of carrying around 20,000 containers, symbolizes the sheer scale of modern shipping.
The incident highlighted the importance of these container ships in global logistics, as the blockage disrupted billions of dollars in trade and affected supply chains worldwide. After being freed, the Ever Given resumed service, forever leaving a mark on maritime history.
