LEGO MS ESTONIA CRUISEFERRY MOC
A cruiseferry with a tragic story.

The MS Estonia was a Baltic Sea cruiseferry known for its tragic sinking in 1994, which stands as one of the deadliest maritime disasters of the 20th century.
Originally launched in 1980 as the Viking Sally, the Estonia served various routes before beginning operations on the Tallinn-Stockholm route. On September 28, 1994, the ferry capsized and sank in rough waters, claiming the lives of 852 passengers and crew.
This disaster prompted significant changes in maritime safety protocols, especially for ferries, and led to international investigations and memorials for the victims.
MODEL #0147 | 1:1400 | 130 pcs.
This is a unique design I should say. It’s not everyday I have to build a 3-stud wide ship at a 1:1400 scale. The MS Estonia was actually a fan-made request I fulfilled on my YouTube Channel which also prompted me to refresh my designing techniques.
In a future version, I would love to make an MS Estonia with a hull that can open forwards, the same way the original ship did.
