LEGO SS DUCA D’AOSTA OCEAN LINER MOC
Don’t forget about this oldtimer.

The SS Duca d’Aosta was an Italian ocean liner launched in 1908, primarily serving routes between Italy and South America. Operated by the Lloyd Sabaudo Line, the Duca d’Aosta transported passengers seeking new opportunities abroad, offering various classes that catered to both luxury travelers and immigrants.
During World War I, the ship was repurposed for military use. After the war, it returned to passenger service, continuing its voyages until it was eventually retired.
MODEL #0148 | 1:1400 | 72 pcs.
When building a series or a collection of ships in one scale, it’s hard to choose a scale that would fit all ships.
This ship in particular is where the limits of designing hit a wall. You can’t really put much detailing in a ship this size, no matter what you try to do with it. But I do find it nice to be able to build at least something that resembles the real thing using just 72 LEGO bricks and nothing more.
