LEGO USS IOWA (BB-61) BATTLESHIP MOC
You can’t talk about battleships without mentioning the Iowa.

The USS Iowa (BB-61), often called the “Big Stick,” is one of the most legendary battleships in U.S. naval history.
Commissioned in 1943, this Iowa-class battleship served in both World War II and the Korean War, providing critical support with her powerful 16-inch guns and advanced radar systems.
Known for her speed and firepower, the Iowa played a key role in numerous operations, including escorting President Franklin D. Roosevelt to the Tehran Conference in 1943. Retired in 1990, the USS Iowa now serves as a museum ship in Los Angeles, preserving her legacy as a symbol of American naval strength.
MODEL #0166 | 1:1000 | 229 pcs.
A brand new class of battleships for the end of the 2022 season. The USS Iowa uses the same body as the North-Carolina classes, however it had to be elongated since the Iowa Class was the last but largest class of battleships in the US Navy.
All four Iowa class battleships are beasts and I wanted to show it properly starting off with the Iowa. You’ll find the main turretd which can swivel on their 2×2 pin-hole circular tiles, more secondary weapons sticking out on the sides of the ship, detailed smokestacks (funnels), and two plane launchers at the back (the plane is featured on the other sister ship models).
