LEGO USS NORTH CAROLINA (BB-55) BATTLESHIP MOC
Let’s get serious with battleships.

The USS North Carolina (BB-55), nicknamed “Showboat,” was the lead ship of her class and one of the most advanced battleships of her time.
Commissioned in 1941, she was the first new U.S. battleship to enter service during World War II. Armed with nine 16-inch guns and 20 five-inch dual-purpose guns, the North Carolina played a critical role in Pacific theater operations, including the battles of Guadalcanal and Leyte Gulf.
Despite being heavily targeted, her robust design and formidable firepower made her a cornerstone of the U.S. Navy’s fleet. Today, she serves as a museum ship in Wilmington, North Carolina.
MODEL #0164 | 1:1000 | 206 pcs.
This is my first attempt and first design of a 1:1000 scaled LEGO Battleship MOC. I chose the North Carolina since this was also my first battleship I got to try out in World of Warships. Spending several hours in-game with this ship allowed me to capture all the small details of the ships while designing it.
The turrets use small clip-arms attached to 1×2 modified plates with handle bars. The hull is designed as close as possible to the blueprints of the original USS North Carolina. The towers, communication masts and other weaponry bays are all built using unique technique and pieces.
