LEGO LZ 129 HINDENBURG AIRSHIP MOC
Historic Journeys. Tragic Ending.

The LZ 129 Hindenburg was a German passenger airship launched in 1936, becoming an icon of the golden age of airship travel.
With a length of 804 feet, it was the largest aircraft ever built and capable of carrying 72 passengers in luxurious accommodations. The Hindenburg was designed for transatlantic travel, offering an elegant alternative to ocean liners.
Tragically, on May 6, 1937, the airship caught fire while attempting to land in Lakehurst, New Jersey, resulting in the loss of 36 lives and marking the end of the airship era.
MODEL #0168 | 1:1400 | 152 pcs.
This is my first attempt at making an airship out of LEGO and it was hard to do so. Even harder when I built this at a 1:1400 scale without using any of the round circular plates or bricks. The hardest part of this model is of course the tail fin which is built in 4 directions.
