LEGO Micro low bed trailer MOC

This was both a challenge and great fun. For the fourth round of my latest Weekly Micro Mondays series on The Bobby Brix Channel, I came up with an original design for a LEGO Micro Low Bed Trailer MOC.

I started off by taking the design from my Advent Calendar Semi-Truck MOC and adding a few pieces to add more volume to the main machine. Then I went on to designing several chassis prototypes of the gooseneck. If you’re unfamiliar with this term, it designates the narrow area of the low bed trailer that allows it to slope immediately down after the fifth wheel to which it attaches onto the truck. This allows the trailer to load higher and bigger cargo such as construction equipment or even very large tires.

My favorite part of this trailer design is the choice of red and white colors to give it a “Heavy Duty” look. But my favorite piece in it all is the addition of a 2×2 inverted plate which gives the chassis a smooth bottom unlike my previous trailer designs.
