LEGO RMS EMPRESS OF IRELAND MOC
A vital ship for the Canadian Pacific Railway.

The RMS Empress of Ireland was a Canadian ocean liner launched in 1906, designed for transatlantic service between Canada and the United Kingdom working under the Canadian Pacific Railway.
It was known for carrying thousands of passengers, including immigrants, across the Atlantic.
Tragically, in 1914, it sank in the St. Lawrence River after a collision with the SS Storstad, resulting in the loss of over 1,000 lives, making it one of the deadliest maritime disasters in Canadian history.
MODEL #0307 | 1:1400 | 63+9 pcs.
From the distance, you might say that the model has a ressemblance to the RMS Titanic, which isn’t false since I used my 2021 LEGO RMS Titanic MOC as a building template for this scale model. The ship itself wasn’t a large one in real life, but it didn’t stop me from making a smooth hull and a set of propellers at the end of this model.
The dimensions below indicate the size of the model without the display stand. The dimensions in the building instructions include the stand.
| Units | Width | Length | Height |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studs | 3.0 | 15.4 | 6.3 |
| Inches | 0.9 | 4.9 | 2.0 |
| Centimeters | 2.4 | 12.3 | 5.1 |
