LEGO SS STORSTAD MOC
The SS Storstad was a Norwegian collier launched in 1910, known primarily for its tragic involvement in the sinking of the RMS Empress of Ireland in 1914. While carrying coal on the St. Lawrence River, it accidentally collided with the Empress in thick fog, causing the ocean liner to sink rapidly and resulting in the loss of over 1,000 lives.
The Storstad itself survived the collision and continued to serve until it was sunk by a German U-boat during World War I in 1917.

This ship is directly related to the LEGO RMS Empress of Ireland MOC and I did my best to respect the proportions of both ships compared to their real dimensions.
